Tim started in the painting industry in 1988 working for the Vista Paint Corporation in Fullerton as a Color Matcher and Customer Service Clerk. After a short period of time Tim was promoted to the Equipment Service Manager at the Corporate Office. Tim was quickly recognized for his attention to detail and the service that he provided to the customers. Tim was promoted. This time, to an outside sales position in the Los Angles area of Southern California. Tim's strong commitment to customer service and delivering more than the customer expected led to one of Vista Paint's most successful territories.
Tim continued to educate himself about coating technology and proper application techniques through out his career. As a result of his education, Tim was involved with several key projects in the Los Angeles area ranging from the LAX Airport Expansion Project to High Rise Projects and Movie Studio Sets Designs. Tim's broad reach and understanding of the paint industry led to a job offer with the Kelly Moore Paint Company in Sacramento and in 1992. Tim joined Kelly-Moore as an Outside Sales Representative.
While at Kelly-Moore Tim specialized in servicing the new home construction market and the residential home repaint market where he realized that the industry in both market segments were using products and techniques that would eventually lead to paint failure on both wood siding and stucco. Tim began researching new technology's and resin systems that would alleviate or minimize these conditions. As a result of his research, Tim has been published in several trade publications and is currently considered an industry expert on stucco and wood siding substrates.
After five years at Kelly-Moore, The Mason Paint Company recruited Tim to join them as their Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Tim quickly moved to establish Mason Paint as an Industry Leader by developing an elastomeric coating unique to the industry and designed specifically for the conditions on the west coast. Tim's product creation for stucco and wood siding led the competition to develop similar versions and these products are now used extensively through out California, Nevada and Arizona.
After two years with Mason Paint the owners of Mason Paint approached Tim about finding a buyer for the company, Tim contacted Vista Paint and brokered the sale of Mason to Vista Paint in 1998. He stayed on as the General Manager of Sales and Operations for Northern California. During that time Tim opened several stores in the region and after 3 years of successful growth decided to join forces with a well-known painting contractor and expand their operations in Northern California.
In October of 2002 Tim decided to take his commitment to customer
service and his industry expertise and open Rysaw Painting Inc.
Today Rysaw Painting employs 30 fulltime painters, estimators, and
customer service personnel. Tim's commitment to customer service
and customer satisfaction has been experienced by hundreds of happy
customers.
